Guided Summer Hill Walking
During summer (typically May to September inclusive, but the Scottish weather can have other ideas!), I offer guided hill walking in the stunning mountains of the Scottish Highlands. You will be led by me, a highly experienced Winter Mountain Leader.
When it comes to choosing a suitable objective for the day, it can be difficult knowing where to start! Living in Aviemore, however, I am perhaps slightly biased towards the phenomenal range of opportunities for hill walking in the Cairngorms. Five of Scotland’s 4,000'ers (mountains over 4,000 ft high) are found here, along with many other Munros and Corbetts. Characterised by vast tracts of high mountain plateau, corries, and spectacular glens, these mountains can be accessed from either Speyside or Deeside. As well as the classics, we can explore some of the less-visited parts of these truly inspiring mountains. The wider Cairngorms National Park and surrounding areas provide further options to explore the likes of Lochnagar and surrounding hills, the Angus Glens, or the Munros of the Monadh Liath, Drumochter, Creag Meagaidh and, of course, the mighty Ben Nevis.
