Under a coating of snow and ice, Scotland’s mountains take on a whole new character. While undoubtedly beautiful, venturing on to the high tops in winter conditions presents additional challenges, not least due to short daylight hours, sometimes (often!) poor weather, and the very real hazards that exist in this environment.
Making the transition from hill walking in summer to winter is a big jump, so take advantage of an experienced and knowledgeable local guide and go on a guided winter hill walk, or join us for an introduction to winter mountain walking.
